2013 Annual Report

From the Chairman of the Board…

“There is no top. There are always further heights to reach.” Jascha Heifetz

The Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) reached a new height in 2013! By year end, RCCF had an asset level of over $7 million. This milestone would not have been reached if it had not been for the generosity of so many donors. Your charitable gifts, small and large, truly increased the RCCF’s ability to continue its’ mission to enrich and improve the quality of life in Roscommon County.

2013 RCCF Board

The “front woman” of your Community Foundation, President/CEO Mary T. Fry, has played a major role in the growth of RCCF. Mary’s passion and drive has inspired so many friends, families and organizations to choose the Roscommon County Community Foundation for their charitable giving. As you may already know, Mary will be leaving the Community Foundation in February 2014, after 12 years of dedicated service to the Roscommon County community. As Mary leaves the Community Foundation, I would like to take the opportunity to introduce your new Executive Director. It is with great pleasure we welcome Suzanne E. Luck to the RCCF family. Suzanne has close ties to the community and looks forward to serving as RCCF’s newest representative. The RCCF Board has great confidence in Suzanne and her ability to continue the great work we have started.

In addition, I am pleased to announce that five (5) new Funds were established in 2013 that will help our community reach new heights:

  1. The Roscommon Historic Model Train Club Building Fund
  2. The Alexa A. Luck Memorial Fund
  3. The Forest and Rita Hacker Family Sportsmanship Scholarship
  4. The Greatest Human Needs Fund
  5. The Doug Allen Fire and EMS Support Fund

Working together, the RCCF and the community can perform extraordinary feats. While $7 million seems an incredible accomplishment, there are further heights to reach and more good work left to do. When choosing your charitable intent, please consider the many Funds established with the RCCF, or consider establishing a new Fund that helps you reach your charitable goal. Without your support, the Roscommon County Community Foundation could not continue to improve the quality of life in Roscommon County,

For Good, For Ever.

Yours in Service,
Ronald Duquette, Chairman
