Houghton Lake Community Education Receives Grant to Visit the Meijer Gardens and the John Ball Zoo

A group of 40 students from Houghton Lake Community Education recently visited the Meijer Gardens and the John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids with help of a grant from the Roscommon County Community Foundation. The field trip was intended to expand the cultural experiences of the students by assisting with the cost of transportation, a meal and admission to both the Gardens and the Zoo. The grant was awarded from the Houghton Lake Education Fund which is an Endowment Fund administered by RCCF. HLCE staff and students had a wonderful time and are extremely appreciative of RCCF and community program support.
