Houghton Lake Community Schools receives grant from RCCF

The Fourth grade students from Mrs. Westman’s and Mrs. Laur’s rooms at Houghton Lake Community Schools have new iPads to use thanks to two grants from the Houghton Lake Education Fund totaling $2,400.00.  This Fund is administered by the Roscommon County Community Foundation.

The iPad’s will be used in small group settings, group activities and with the whole class for students with low skill levels that need individual practice and for teacher record use or planning.  The iPad’s are intended to help students achieve a sense of how to use technology safely and effectively, provide the students with a learning experience found outside the classroom, and to prepare them for what testing in schools and the skills of the workplace are becoming.

If you would like to support our community by contributing to this, or any other RCCF Fund, please contact us at 989-275-3112, by e-mail at rococofo@yahoo.com or visit our website at www.info@MyRCCF.org
