In 2001 the MGNP established and endowment Fund with RCCF in order to support and maintain the Nature Preserve as well as to promote their projects and programs. The Preserve is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and maintenance of a balanced habitat that supports a wide variety of plants and animals, and to develop awareness in our community of the value of protecting habitats. They do extensive programs with area schools to develop outdoor educational activities for preK-12 students as well as programs for the community at large.

The Preserve is located at 209 Maplehurst Dr. in Roscommon where you can visit their interpretive center or walk one of the many trails. To get more information please visit their website at gahagannature.org.
