Markey Christian Ministries, Inc. Receives RCCF Grant

Markey Christian Ministries (MCM) was formed in 1996 though a coalition between St. Hubert, St. James and the Markey Baptist Churches to address the need for safe, affordable housing for the growing senior population in Roscommon County. MCM has now partnered with the Country Village Apartments, with help from a $1,200.00 grant from the Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF), General Fund and Cornerstone Fund, to provide a beauty salon to the residents of the apartment complex. The RCCF grant will help provide the equipment needed to provide hair care as well as foot care in the beauty salon.

The goal is to keep the residents active by increasing their self worth through good hygiene habits. The residents of the Country Village Apartments will have access to a beautician and a pedicurist in the comfort of their own building.
