MidMichigan Community Health Services Establishes The Roscommon County Health Services Fund

The Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) is pleased to announce the establishment of the Roscommon County Health Services – Special Project Fund.  The new Fund, which was initiated by MidMichigan Community Health Services (MMCHS), is intended to provide grants or financial assistance for heath services, health promotion, or other health care related project or programs which have been identified as needs and priorities within Roscommon County, or surrounding area of North-Central Mid Michigan.

MidMichigan Health Services Executive Director Darrell Milner said the action was taken to “give back to the community.” He said the board will recommend projects to the RCCF for health care-related service projects. Final responsibility for the approval of disbursements from the Fund will lie with the RCCF board.

We are honored to expand our relationship with MidMichigan Community Health Services and to offer support for health care projects and programs,” says Mary Fry, President/CEO of RCCF. “MidMichigan Community Health Services and RCCF have a history of partnering to help our community over the years. First, MidMichigan supported RCCF through our Ambassador Club program, giving $500.00 each year to support Community Outreach programs. Next, we partnered to administer the Grace Bernardo, M.D., Memorial Scholarship, which was established by MMCHS to provide financial aid to Roscommon County area students who are pursuing health career educations. Now we are partnering to address the growing health needs of our communities.”

This new Fund is now open and accepting donations from the community.  To support the Roscommon County Health Services Fund you may mail a check to RCCF at PO Box. 824, Roscommon, MI  48653, or make a donation on line.
