RCCF Supports Roscommon County Literacy Council

The Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) has awarded a $2,500 grant to the Roscommon County Literacy Council for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. This grant has been funded by the Morley Family Foundation Fund and the Roscommon County General Fund.

The Dolly Parton Imagination Library makes it possible for children to receive one book per month from birth or enrollment to age five. Currently 540 children in the county are participating in the program. The goal is to get books to children before they begin school. Deb Rosczyk, president of the Council, says, “It’s so important for kids to be exposed to reading before school.”
