The Roscommon County Commission on Aging (RCCOA) recently purchased a new Chore Program Utility Trailer with the help of a $300.00 grant from the Roscommon County Community Foundation, Tobacco Settlement Fund. The RCCOA will use the trailer to aid in their “Chore Program” which assists low income seniors remain in their homes by providing help to maintain their homes and yards. This includes minor household repairs, yard clean ups in the spring and fall, lawn mowing throughout the summer and snow removal in the winter months. The trailer will provide the means to transport the equipment needed for the job at hand.
Income from the Tobacco Settlement Fund is used for supporting health related issues for Roscommon County seniors and youth.
