Second Chance Academy receives grant from RCCF

The Second Chance Academy recently received a grant in the amount of $996.00 from the Roscommon County Community Foundation’s (RCCF) Roscommon County Kellogg Youth Fund for the purpose of purchasing Chromebooks.

The addition of three Chromebooks will help supplement the existing computers at the Academy and their portability will allow for students to work in other rooms in their building. The primary educational program at the Academy is computer based and this will help the students to remain engaged in the learning process.

The Second Chance Academy had been in existence for 20 years and was established to create an environment conducive to improving the behavioral and educational functioning of adjudicated youth. It was also developed to assist youth in developing skills to function in society.

If you would like to support our community by contributing to this, or any other RCCF Fund, please contact us at 989-275-3112, by e-mail at info@myrccf.org or visit our website at www.myRCCF.org
